Church Services
You are invited to attend our one-hour Sunday service which begins at 10:00 AM. We are located at 280 West Shaw Avenue in Fresno, CA. The sermon is a Bible Lesson composed of citations from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science, and is the same “sermon” read that week in every Christian Science church worldwide.
These two books are our only “pastor,” and they are read by a first and second reader elected by the membership. Every service includes hymn singing by the congregation and an inspirational solo. This service offers a quiet and prayerful time to reflect on the spiritual truths that comfort and heal.
Sunday School
We welcome all children and teens in our Sunday School, which is held at the same time as the Sunday church service. Through lively question and answer sessions, students learn of God’s love for them and how the spiritual and moral teachings of the Bible and Science and Health can help them every day, in every situation.
Wednesday Meeting
You are also invited to attend our less formal Wednesday evening testimony meeting at 7:30 PM. This meeting includes the singing of hymns and brief readings from the Bible and Science and Health on a timely subject. Attendees are invited to share healings and insights they have gained through prayer and applying the teachings of Christian Science in their daily lives.
Child Care
Child care for the very young is provided free of charge, under the care and supervision of experienced adults. Infants and children who are too young to attend Sunday School are cared for lovingly on both Sundays and Wednesdays.
Reading Room
Please feel free to visit our Reading Room (located next to our church) where you can study or purchase the Bible and books and magazines on Christian Science. The Reading Room is open to the public weekdays from 9:00 to 3:00 and Saturday from 11:00 to 3:00. We also offer free Wi-Fi access. The attendant is always happy to answer questions.
